Fungicides have become an integral part of efficient food production. The loss of a fungicide to agriculture through resistance is a problem that affects us all. FRAC works to prolong the effectiveness of fungicides liable to encounter resistance problems and to limit crop losses should resistance occur.

  • 02.18.2020

    The updated FRAC Code List© 2020 is now available for download

    The 2020-version of the FRAC Code List© is now available for download in PDF- as well as Excel-format. Copies may be printed freely for educational purposes only.

    Here is an overview of the most important changes:

    • F9, OSBPI (Code 49) addition of fluoxapiprolin
    • BM01: Addition of plant extract from Swinglea glutinosa
    • Bacillus spp. based compositions formerly F6 (code 44) – moved to BM02
    • BM02: Inclusion of Bacillus spp from F6
    • BM02: Addition of new microbial compositions based on:
      • Clonostachys rosea strain CR-07
      • Bacillus spp. strains F727, AFS032321
      • Pseudomonas chlororaphis strain AFS009
      • Streptomyces lydicus strain WYEC108
    • Remarks for several FRAC codes or active ingredients have been updated regarding resistance situation or to clarify scope of the category -  namely B6, I3 (16-3), U13, M01, BM02

    Publication of new FRAC Website

    The new FRAC website is now online!

    It contains the same information as the previous FRAC-Website, but with a new design and more ways to find recent information on fungicide resistance and how to manage it. Additionally, new material is published, such as the FRAC educational video and links to the FRAC Mode of Action App.

    Dr. Andreas Goertz was elected as new Chair of the SBI Working Group

    At the SBI Working Groups’ telephone conference on the 9th of October 2019, Dr. Andreas Goertz (Bayer AG, Germany) was elected as the new chair of the SBI Working Group. He succeeds Dr. Klaus Stenzel (Bayer AG, Germany), who has been holding this position since 2005. We thank Klaus for his dedication and valuable service to the FRAC organization in this role.
